Ski trip in Sarek 2003

I skied on the fields around my old village where I grew up a couple of days before we took the train up north. I’d never really skied before this trip more then just that. I bought my first par of skies and sled right before this event and I had a really fluffy jacket but my knowledge where limited to trekking and in the end I struggled a lot during the days to keep up. I’d been longing for an adventure like this for a long time and finally it was time to fulfil one of my dreams. I “skied” with skins on and I had them on throughout the trip. It helped me a lot. Dangerous and foolish? Perhaps.. fun and educational, absolutely! I skied with at the time popular adventurous couple Mikael & Titti Strandberg and some other people with different backgrounds.
